The HUB4700 calibre is the successor to the famous El Primero calibre – the first integrated automatic chronograph (1969), which was also the first mechanical chronograph with a frequency of 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), enabling precision of 1/10th of a second. In a perfect fusion of tradition and innovation, this fully skeletonised movement is now equipped with a silicon regulating organ, ensuring avant-garde performance, precision, and reliability.

From the pioneering use of rubber in watchmaking to the development of new precious alloys like scratch-resistant Magic Gold, and the creation of revolutionary composite materials such as ceramic and sapphire in unique colours – materials are always at the heart of the Hublot universe.
